Seems to be especially true in my field: Librarianship. My undergraduate degree is in Secondary Education. I got more tax breaks as a Teacher than I do as a Librarian. The ‘Teacher Next Door’ housing programs that many cities have will give teachers a tax break or down payment assistance on a home (in Chicago) - goes

You and me both. It’s disgusting. I’m purposely not going to the greys because I can just imagine what kinds of crap that’s being spewed.

Last time I was in an ER, it was because I was having a hemiplegic migraine. (The kind of migraine that has symptoms that mimic a stroke.) This was 10+ years ago, and there were times that I was left alone with an ER Doc. I remember, because one of the nurses was holding my hand as she took care of my nose,(it was

I want to tell her that she owes no one any apologies, and she is OWED apologies. First, by Mister Scumbag himself, then by the Crown prosecutors who messed up this case.

And to my little Troll friend in the greys - Yeah, I see you. And yeah, I DID SAY THAT. Stay in the greys and deal with it.

I would like to say that I have not purposely avoided NYC because of tip hustlers. The opportunity to go to NYC hasn’t presented itself (yet), but the whole ‘Times Square/tip hustlers’ thing does give me some mild concern.

I’ve been accosted for tips when I’ve gone on cruises - EVERYBODY has their hands out. (LOL)

Thanks for the tips! (No pun intended)

I’m from the Chicago area. My thought process is that Times Square is a huge tourist area, so, since I’m not from the area, I’d probably *want* to see it (so I could say I was there), but not if I’m going to be accosted for tips.

I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve never been in NYC, so...

Beat me to it - I was going to say something similar!

Sadly, I didn’t see this before I had responded, and cannot seem to delete my comment. But I flagged it, so hopefully if it gets more flags... :(

Never said it wasn’t for all women - I said that I took it for granted that it was something *everyone* did, and I was worried about that because I don’t think I have much of a maternal instinct. Talking about it with my Mom helped me realize that life wouldn’t be less of anything (without having children) - but it

For the longest time, when I envisioned my life, I thought I would be married by a certain age, then have 2-3 children and raise them. The problem? I don’t have much of a maternal instinct for children. My cats, on the other hand, absolutely. (It also helps that, according to a variety of MDs that my husband and I,

I tried watching this show, and, while it had some funny moments, I thought it was just trying too hard...

I like Zoe Kravitz. I think she’s a talented actress, and I look forward to seeing what she does in the future.

I wouldn’t even have known where her daughters go to school, or even that she had children, if she hadn’t paraded them on the news, in their school uniforms (complete with school name and logo on the shirt) showing them voting for the first time. Given her actions as of late, I would have thought that she would have

No - they go to Trinity in RF. They were on TV, wearing their uniforms, with the school logo on their polo shirts.

River Forest is GORGEOUS! I went to both undergrad and graduate school at the colleges in RF. (And goodness knows I have the student loans that go along with them - LMAO)

I hope he enjoys his reign - I don’t see him getting reelected.
