Completely agree. I wouldn't expect my husband to stop living his life, but I also would hope that he would remember that I'm still part of that life. (Just don't rub my nose in it, yo. But then again, if I get Alzheimer's, I might not even be able to figure out that he's got a special friend, if you get my drift.)

That gives me hope. <3

Oh - that's good. I didn't even think of it in that way. Tempted to unheart you, just so I can heart you again.

I thought the same thing - cynical, yes, but sadly, not surprising.

This thread is making me think of Ryan Gosling/James Garner in 'The Notebook'.

People like this are why I continue to get strange looks from people when the learn that I'm a Christian (or at least I consider myself a follower of the Christian faith). I keep hoping that if I live my life as best as I can, being a good, decent person to those I encounter, that maybe one day, people will stop

*looks at mug* My steaming cup of shame, du jour, is 'Lady Grey' - like 'Earl Grey', but without the smoky flavor.

Hearted

Absolutely! Bring a bottle to contribute to the stash! Or a dessert. Or just yourself!

As a Public Services Librarian, I feel it to be my duty to seek out this book, and show this error to all of my other librarian friends, so we can laugh hysterically.

I want to unheart you, just so I can heart you again for this comment, Sorcia. Truly.

Hearted for CBC/Jian Gomeshi reference. Was he slobbering all over her during the interview? I remember listening to an interview w/him and KT Tunstall, and I wanted to reach through my computer and backhand him. He kept referring to her as 'the future Mrs. Gomeshi'.

'Will a comdom protect your heart?' Literally, yes, it can. Have you seen what undiagnosed STDs can do to your organs?Al Capone died, insane, from syphillis, while in prison. So, if you want to get technical, yes - condom usage can protect your heart, and all your other vital organs.

I second this, wholeheartedly, especially the last line.

My family portrait would be of a bunch of guys, sitting around a food laden table, smoking, drinking and playing poker/black jack/some other card game, for real money... While the women are in another room, also drinking and smoking, around another table, laden with food, talking smack about the dudes in the other

Kirstie looks great!
