My bf and I have been talking about marriage on and off and we know it’s likely in our future, but we want to have an actual ceremony and reception and everything. Who knows how soon we’ll be able to afford it?

To my understanding, they migrate over.
I mean, we use “grooming” when we’re even talking about corporate behavior - “the president is grooming his next-in-command to be his replacement,” things like that. I don’t think Ballinger herself actually intended anything sexual with the fans (people *around* her are another story), but talking that way with…
I could have believed that she legitimately was trying to be friends with fans and completely fucking it up, including the inappropriateness. It seems like internet fame is hard for a lot of people to navigate, and if she’s an awkward human being, it probably made it tougher. Plus the internet makes it easier, a lot…
You know, looking at the art you shared, I think my issue with it is the lack of round pieces comparatively. I notice it most in Mallow (might just be the lighting) and Bowser (like you mentioned). Though tbf, the actual in-game graphics did always look different from the artwork. Geno really does look great in the…
I thought I completely misread it at first lmao. Glad to see someone else noticed it!
I appreciate that they did make it clear you can play the game fine without the patch; the patch just addresses some issues they didn’t have time to fine-tune.
In fairness, imo, the DLC didn’t exactly add much of substance character-wise. It filled in a few gaps from when party members temporarily leave, but it didn’t actually tackle the more important things that happen off-screen in the second half of the game. Ignis’s gave more characterization to Ravus, which was sorely…
That strategy guide was SO good. I used to carry it with me to elementary school and read it at recess hahaha
I’d bet it’s a scaling thing. With the amount of trouble that people have had with UI stuff in games since the shift to HD, it’s probably harder to do unique fonts.
oh MAN I never thought they’d do this! I’m ridiculously excited!
I mean, Brave New World is also (perhaps even more prominently) a seminal piece of literature that’s still commonly studied and portrays its dystopia negatively. My first association with it is the critique of dystopias and figureheads, not conservativism (which isn’t the case with New World Order).
This feels very much like the team was getting frustrated with fans being unable to be patient, like a “yes! of course we’re still fucking working on the game! we’re just not doing a lot of marketing that would take the focus off of XVI right now, use your brains!”
I’m lucky enough that it’s not too bad of a day-to-day worry if I’m just at home, at least - most straight people assume straightness as default and the way I like to keep my appearance is pretty much within gender norms for guys, so if I’m on my own, most people don’t even clock me as gay. But out with friends or my…
I’m 32, myself. I was lucky enough to, even in Arizona, be able to come out as a gay guy in high school and not face *too* many issues. But that didn’t mean it was easy. Garden-variety homophobia at school, yeah, but hell, I remember promising myself that I would stop saying the Pledge of Allegiance at school until I…
This is so so so amazing. Definitely bookmarking the video to watch later. I’m sure plenty of gamers are pissed at him talking about his sexuality at all, but we’ve been here this whole entire time. One of the biggest franchises was spearheaded by a gay man (Fallout, I mean - Tim Cain). The winner of the first-ever…
Maybe I’m being picky, but this headline + article tone feels weird. Don’t get me wrong, I get why people are mad about the monetization overall (and I agree! it’s ridiculous!), but this issue is very clearly a glitch, not Blizzard or Sony requiring players to pay up again to get access. Like, other early-access…
Follow-up response to you - Polygon posted an interview with the director:
They haven’t mentioned it yet. It’s being billed specifically as a streaming series, so I’m guessing it’s going to be some sort of browser client? Though I guess they could do a separate app we’d have to log into.
FWIW, the CEO of Genvid has been commenting over on ResetEra to respond to some of the concerns. He mentioned that the game isn’t going to be like the Walking Dead one and specified that Walking Dead was like that (re: gameplay) because of how it used Facebook Gaming and was targeting that specific audience.
