He’s supposed to be this imposing force of evil/the devil incarnate/full of dark magic creeptastic guy who’s been dabbling in all sorts of dark things. A few stab wounds ain’t gonna do it.

I think this is the best explanation/response I’ve seen so far.

I love that little bit. She even refused the food a few times before finally accepting, and it was her pretty much deciding not to kill them.

I’ve read this book so many times I’ve had to tape the cover back on and now own multiple copies (my original was the centaur/face of evil cover) and I literally cannot put into words how excited I am about this movie.

I am so goddamn excited for this movie it can’t come soon enough. This has been one of my favorite books FOREVER and DuVernay seems like she has an incredible vision for it. GAHH.

My mother and I still quote this movie at each other. This scene in particular is a favorite.

All the cute 90s dresses in that movie, and they turn poor Larissa Oleynik into a potato wearing a tutu the color of a fish. WHY. WHYYYYYY,

One of my forever favorite movies and the epitome of “teen”-ness to cusp-of-puberty me - and that dress has HAUNTED me.
