It occurs to me that over 500 people are likely to have some pretty hefty medical bills as a result of this. Hospitals should be billing the NRA and the GOP for every person that passes through their doors. Any insurance companies involved should be trying to recoup costs too.

Assuming that all fans of country music support the Republican lawmakers and the NRA is drawing a connection so thin it doesn’t exist. Country music is enjoyed by people on all political spectrums.

Yeah, she definitely should have done things differently. She should have blamed the victims for getting in the way of “a fine person” just exercising his rights. Or maybe she should have scolded the victims for not working hard enough to live. Or maybe she should have given the shooter a disparaging nickname, like

So nice when a repugnant thought is said outloud a person is fired instead of being elected president.

You provide hope, so I need that on day like today.

After Sandy Hook, it’s obvious it will take a couple generations before serious gun control happens, but in the meantime, why not some kind of registry? Say you’re buying your 6th submachine gun, maybe a little note pops up and someone from the ATF can call and say ‘hey Bob, what’s up with all the automatic weapons?’.

Technically it is bullets that kill people. And I am all for a much more rigorous process for vetting, serializing and limiting purchases of ammunition.

Ooo, if we’re comparing cars to guns, can we get government agencies setup to regulate licensing and tracking of guns? Perhaps require insurance incase you cause harm to someone with it? Maybe required testing before using a gun?

“When someone has that kind of mentality, it doesn’t matter what kind of laws you have...”

Now, are the $3,000 Thoughts and Prayers as heartfelt and sincere as the $11,500 Thoughts and Prayers? If the NRA ups the amount donated to say, $7,500 will that congressman pray harder? Exactly how will we know?

My response to anyone who rolls out the “Now is not the time for politics.” bullshit- Now is exactly the time to talk politics. Politics is EXACTLY how this happened. Politics is EXACTLY how more events like this will continue to happen. Mass shootings are a result of politics. Toddlers shooting their grandmas by

Comparing guns to a heavily regulated item that you must take proficiency tests with, gain insurance for before you are licensed to operate, and have an entire police force built around monitoring... is amusing.

Yes, let’s get to the level of control we put on cars, then if this is still happening we can talk!

Of course nothing will change. America is a cesspit of madness - your fucked up country has an average of 350 CHILDREN murdered by guns every year (just guns, not counting other sources) - multiple annual school shootings every year.. and despite all that, despite the murder of goddamn CHILDREN, your country does

Does it make me a terrible person that I no longer give a shit about mass shootings in the US. If there is no political will, no mass protest and no media coverage demanding change, why should the rest of the world care.

Why pigeonhole him? “Shkreli homunculus,” “GHB enthusiast” and “oily trust-fund pig” are all perfectly acceptable.

I’m pretty sure we’ve proven we can’t be trusted with the Tree of Liberty. We need to start over with a Ficus and show we can be responsible for that first.

Man, that is one well-fed fucking tree at this point.

Meh.......well armed militia, the price of freedom, blood of Patriots and Tryants watering the tree of liberty......etc, etc.

Gee, if only there were some other way to protect the hearing of sportsmen firing weapons.
