Wow, someone feels different from you.

“We’re not reviewers. We’re assholes.”

I love my husband. Like, a lot. I think he’s funny as hell and sexy as hell and interesting as hell. He’s hands down my favorite person to spend time with.

NYC real estate agent here - almost all manhattan properties that you can buy are co-ops (roughly 70%), and they tend to be about 10% cheaper because people will pay more for the flexibility of a condo. Condos tend to be much newer construction, and if you don’t like the way new construction looks, you’re much more

Whenever I hear about incidents like this I think of Shirley Jackson’s short story The Lottery, which appeared in the New Yorker years ago. She and the magazine received a ton of hate mail because of the story. I never understood why because the story deals with pointless and cruel customs that get passed on

Me to the world as it takes several giant steps backwards because weak white men are afraid of losing power to women and other minorities.

I think Rogue One did a masterful job of creating a lot of tension even when we knew what the end result would be (Plans stolen but everyone’s dead). The sheer skin-of-their-teeth tension in the film really worked, from barely being able to climb out of the data archives to Vader slicing through Rebels while they

You know... Since they’re using a CGI Peter Cushing/Tarkin, I have to wonder if the model renders include him wearing slippers in any scenes where his feet don’t show...

Yes, the hair-pulling world of false equivalence where Cheetolini is the master of the form. No matter how insipid are his twits, uh, tweets; no matter how big the lie is spewing from his ignorant mouth; the “news” media is there to repeat the bullshit as if it’s fact. The liar is never called to the carpet.

Personally I would disagree regarding JJ, I felt he had a really good handle on Star Wars (it was closer to him than Star Trek that’s for sure) but I could see that. I don’t have any of the issues that a lot of people have with JJ so I actually liked what he did with trying to revitalize the Saga films (and he’s still

She did look dollish in the first film and like a grown woman in the second two films (and TFA obviously). In fact, seeing her in Return of the Jedi it’s hard to imagine how young she really was, because she had the bearing of a middle-aged person.

Tarkin was by far, the best CGI character I’ve ever seen. Sure, you can tell it’s CGI, but only after a pretty close look. Leia was a bit more obvious. However I also noted the XWing pilots and immediately gasped at how awesome it was.

While some of the CGI effects were a bit odd-looking (I’m looking at you, Tarkin)

This is the level of detail and care that actually made the movie for me. Little flourishes that made sense in continuity and added connective tissue without feeling forced and taking over the film. This film just proves to me that Star Wars is in good hands.

For me it was dr. what’s his face and walrus man that brought me so much joy, when they bump into the leads on Jedah.

Of all the fan servicey things in Rogue One, this was the fan serviciest. It was awfully silly, even if it did make me grin.

i found tarkin to be entirely and amazingly acceptable to the point of wtfing over and over in his scenes, but leia to be somewhat dollish. neither took anything away from my enjoyment of this spectacular film.

I wanna see a film all about Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus, just so we get more of blind Donnie Yen busting heads.

Jyn was actually one of the least interesting parts of Rogue One. That was not due to Felicity Jones though, and more due to shortcuts in the script.

I feel like that lady who we saw at the very end on the ship will go far.
