I didn’t say it can’t be both. The overarching truth will at certain times align with a nuanced consideration. However, the nuanced consideration is often employed precisely because the broad truth falls short or doesn’t quite apply, which is why I said seems irreconcilable.

And we’ve arrived at the place me and a co-worker often end up at, where do we reside, “broader truth” or “nuanced understanding.”

Maybe the idea was all Dirk is capable of handing out is an “L”

You are unequivocally correct.

(I know it’s long. I apologize, but the topic requires detailed explanation. This is the abridged version)

Minus the existential threat, it is hard to accept “the sacrificed for freedom” claim. I am in the military, what you’re saying was shockingly and eloquently said by another service member. A service member who served in every rank enlisted and officer and is the most decorated service member ever.

I share you’re sentiment. I’ll even sum it up for you in a couple sentences so people actually read it:

For real... these people must work with InfoWars

I think there is some of that in play. Tom is great, but Bill knows it is time to move on. If Tom gets sidelined by an injury, he won’t lose his job to Hoyer, but the argument for starting a 42 year-old next year that is recovering from injury is not very compelling.

Now I understand what you’re getting at, though I can’t speak for the Root, I feel I have an idea of what Mike is getting at as well. There are two main elements: one has a legal aspect and the other has to do with how white people see racism.

I can’t take credit for it.

I agree with characterization of the electorate being largely uninformed and susceptible to misinformation.

I hear there’s a new Twitter account designed for the express purpose you are calling for...

I think the usage is layered though I’m confident he is unaware of any of the layers.

The only logical response I could muster was: “Amnesia.”

“Lumped in with all the other biases”

There’s one in my home town and it’s been there since I was a kid. I’m from CT and in my mid-30's. It was a shithole then and shithole now. The town can’t keep businesses, yet somehow that god damn Papa Gino’s inexplicably persists. I’m more of large/thin NY-style slice guy, so I would take Gino’s over John’s.

Better than Papa John’s tho...

I often have a debate with a friend about whether or not its worse now or more of the same. He’s in the worse camp, I’m in the same-ole thing party.

Mike... I’m having a tough time following the logic here:
