“It’s the money” has always been my argument. When someone claims to provide a reason and it does not account for money I tend to dismiss it unless the case is particularly convincing, even then I can still be skeptical.  If it accounts for money, I am almost immediately convinced.

I saw a post regarding Kanye’s album and all the recent work he helped produce to the effect of, “yo... can we all just admit Kanye is on one right now?”

That’s pretty f’n impressive. I mean... I get the analogy but perhaps walking is selling IJ short. I’d say more like a Spartan race or a triathlon.

Good enough for Lebron, good enough for me.

But who’s 4?!?  WHO CAN IT BE?!?

All very good points, they’re all crooks who work at the behest of Wall Street. They’re both gonna rob you, it’s just a matter of who is getting the money.

Initially, I was like, “c’mon... it’s the oldest god damn law on the books?! How in your right mend can you defend a law that is 146 years old?”

I mean... after he won the NCAA championship everyone up to and including the Lakers was just gonna throw money at him. He opted to “do the right thing” and stay. HA! Look at all the good will and social equity he earned by doing the right thing, from the very institution he did right by. I mean damn... that is

I love that take so much.  I shouldn’t because hypocrisy is as ubiquitous as wifi, but damn it... I still do.

DFW is my favorite author I am not smart enough to read. I really enjoy postmodern authors. Franzen, a DFW contemporary and “friend,” is my favorite. Franzen is brilliant, but doesn’t beat you over the head with the fact that he is smarter than you. His work is profound yet still accessible.

Geez... why do they always have to be so violent?

“Crish is also accused of giving special treatment in return for money.”

Financial crisis? That damn AIG...

I feel like it needs to be acknowledged that either:

My husband can’t be expected to throw the stone and catch the stone!

I was at a soccer game in Ecuador for a study abroad. Down in the lower-level there was a group of people with torches. Me and my white privilege were of course given a torch (I only add the white privilege part now because looking back on it. As I approached the group with torches I presumed no outcome possible other

Alright... alright... they do suck. It’s still hypocritical, but it doesn’t change the fact that the Saudis suck

“Honest Rational political discussion” sorry my friend, I don’t think those exist. Not because humans are too biased, stubborn, or simply unwilling. Once the discussion becomes political it inherently can no longer be rational.

I rarely read a tweet and am like “damn... that was incredibly insightful. You nailed.” But Bo Young Lee did just that. I just wanted to thank you for putting that in your post.

“Make no mistake about it. This is publicly funded white supremacy.”
