The mountains out that way are pretty gay, with great hiking trails.

They’ll be really outraged when they learn about liquor distribution laws in some states.

I guess I can see it.  Republicans (even the more serious ones), have been talking about “Demographic shifts” putting them at a competitive disadvantage.  The more sober ones are referring not to ethnic demographic shifts, but age-related demographic shifts.

That’s not that bad. Over on the root they sometimes use the term HN. (And often, they abbreviate it, but not always)

Indeed. Over 30 dollars for 2 beers at a recent concert is highway robbery.

There is only 1 reason to tease Tifa’s death: To give Team Aeris hope that Cloud and Aeris end up together.

I’m going to take a risk and take your question seriously.

I have not seen the film, nor any interest in doing so. But I did invest some pretty good time trying to understand all the valid non-racist non-trolling criticisms of the film.

Lots of these folks get it. There just seems to be unstated opinions about what sorts of people should be in what sorts of films.

I got a chuckle out of “Voter Suppression”.

Some care about things you do.

That’s true; wasn’t aware they tried that.  But doesn’t surprise me.  The story was for sure all original, not based on characters from lore.

Yes.  But that doesn’t stop Disney from trying to claim they own the folktale, because mostly people just know their version of it.

Yes, that will go over well when they start claiming copyright on another nation’s folktales.

Whatever company comes up with a Bot detector PaaS service is going to clean up in this space.

Nintendo plays the long game. They actively try to drum up nostalgia for old IP’s while limiting the supply legally available. It’s little things that remind you of all those old games you loved - like the cameos from lots of old games in every new Smash Brothers, or the 3d pictures from various IP’s on the 3ds. NES

I have to wonder if that sort of thing damages a brand in puritanical America in ways that it doesn’t in Asia.  I can easily see in (say) Japan how it low-key is allowed because at the end of the day Japan is only straight-laced on the surface.

I would have thought for sure with how the Internet Explorer Waifu turned out that nobody in the west would repeat this. (It got Rule 34'd within hours)
