Tonnes, sure. But fewer than there were, which is squeezing GameStop little by little. (I was absolutely not saying these gamers have disappeared, just they are less and less)

Or that kids aren’t playing games anymore, and are just watching playthrough videos on Youtube.
The only one to blame is GameStop. I mean its a store that sells games and game related toys, it should be my favorite store. But it isn’t and its because of their terrible treatment of customers, where they see them as potential subscription and warrantee purchasers, not people.
This is smart viral marketing.
As an artist, Ticketmaster has merged with or purchased so many other companies that you can’t avoid doing business with them.
I feel like maybe with 2 beers in me, I’d pre-order for 60. I don’t want to encourage the new $70 price point game makers are trying to the “new normal”.
No, but I am certainly on a media literacy high ground.
Certainly - in the games, it’s mentioned that the concerns about blood cultures and biopsies aren’t viable and have been tried. However - the show is not the same universe, and the rules have been changed to work better on TV. Some examples are that there’s no airborne spores, and the underground spore networks. The…
If you consider that real life, trained and capable infectious disease researcher would start not with dissection, but blood samples and biopsies, you get some nice clean answers:
My issue with this response is that I view it as a reluctance or refusal to engage with The Last of Us on its own terms. I think it’s a copout, a way to more easily justify what Joel does by saying “the stakes weren’t that big anyway” by disregarding the internal logic of the work itself.
It seems clear to me that there was so much wealth and influence surrounding Michael Jackson, that his handlers and enablers and other hanger-ons ensured that evidence was destroyed, victims and witnesses discredited, and the waters muddied as much as possible.
These are the exact types of people who love the guy (not surprisingly).
Anecdotally, prisoners feel the same way. Pedophiles often don’t survive prison. Even murderers have kids, which they love and care for.
I don’t even care if Kubrick wanted them at the end. That just makes it Kubrick’s mistake. Which is less characteristic of him than Spielberg (which is surprising), but still fuck that.
Along the lines of the de-odorizer, if you have fishy hands from cooking fish, or if you’re out fishing and handling cut bait or the slime from handling fish, it works wonders in removing the fishy smell. That smells that sticks around even after you wash your hands. I actually think it works because it’s a solvent…
AI was a good movie, until the last 30 minutes. It took a serviceable enough sci-fi plot (which should have an unhappy ending!) and shat all over it by trying to fill it with positive feels.
Agreed. Hook is amazing. Not even a cult classic, but a total blast to watch when it came out, and even more so now looking back at the early 90's, and remembering how bright William’s star used to shine before it was extinguished.
Sounds like them. Only spend time on the new stuff, deprecate the old stuff (but leave it there for compatibility). Ignore what your customers say they want, and try to force them onto the new stuff.
I just bought a Sidewinder 2 force feedback joystick a while back because of that.
Human society has always been obsessed with sex, crime and violence. As they uncover more and more of Pompeii they are discovering it is covered with graffiti depicting the same (and in general just a huge number of dicks).
