Castle Doctrine laws are plenty problematic too, just less so. When you enshrine justifications for shooting people in law, people will exercise poor judgement in doing so.  They will then kill innocent people, and often enough based on the social status of their victim, they will get off scot free.

Indeed. The bot economy is weird. The trend seems to be they are mostly politically motivated, and at that mostly right-wing friendly. Lastly, they seem to target causes which aren’t overtly political, but which support talking points which support the initiatives of the political opposition.

My best guess is that they’ll keep all the low level folks with a clean HR record.

Yep. And our campaign finance laws keep getting worse - because both sides benefit. We spend bizarre amounts of money on political advertising compared to most other countries.

Microsoft has been buying EVERYTHING the last few years. Video Gaming companies make up a tiny, tiny amount of the dollar value (and also the count of companies).

I am not super deep on Linux, but it was always my impression that it was the platform fragmentation more than the lack of desktop adoption that made Linux gaming not a very attractive market to try and break into as a game developer.

All sage advice. But, being the power user I am (I have created AppCompat shims myself for work after finding compatibility issues) the biggest thing which would scare me if my business was built on Win7 is drivers.
