When I was in school it was limited depending on the university. You might only get 8 credit hours at in-state rates or could only attend school at a specific campus. It was lame.

They do. I still just hold a grudge over having to skip the Oregon school I wanted to attend over their dumbass tuition laws.

Plus that idea has never worked for people living/working in border cities. Like if you live in Washington State but work in Oregon you pay full Oregon taxes, but you’re still a non-resident for tuition purposes.
