I know how. It really is only in recent years (like, 2010-on) that the idea of affirmative consent has taken hold, and even now, it’s an idea that is widely mocked. Even Zooey Dechanel mocked it on New Girl a couple of years ago as a weird Portland idea (so disappointed in her for that episode).
