What’s his take on winglets? He spent some time in the Ducati slipstreams in Qatar. Are they really there to create chop and mess with other riders?

Did you bring another jacket in case they put you on a red one?
As an aside, has there ever been a more punchable face in the history of sports than Jorge Lorenzo’s? I want to stuff him in a locker so bad...
These new Ducati’s are just so fast. If they had an alien on them they could win every race. I think Lorenzo made the decision the moment Ianonne and Dovi blew past him on the back straight in Qatar. He’ll have to adjust a bit, but those bikes look perfectly capable of surpassing the Yamaha as the best bike on the…
I have actually seen this movie and all you need to know is JS’s character supposedly rides this bike from NYC to Maine in the middle of the winter wearing jeans and a fashion jacket like it’s no big deal and then proceeds to whine about how cold it is for the rest of the movie.
This is destined to be an eternal “ride how you want to ride” debate. It’s the new Cruisers vs. Sportbikes. I have a buddy who thinks I’m a pussy for putting a quickshifter on my STR. And honestly, I can’t totally blame him. Yeah, it makes riding easier which means I don’t have to be as good of a rider to do the same…
Eh...I’ll ride anything for free. I can’t imagine I’d spend money on it, though. I get the applications for off-roading and I can totally understand why even experienced riders might prefer it there. But how could it not take away from the engagement of the ride on the road or on a track?
Well I mean OBVIOUSLY the tank bike, right? What are we even talking about here?
Visual/tactile alerts? Please. Automatic braking? Dear fucking God no. I have a hard enough time dealing with ABS on a bike.
Erect.
Those are sweet bags. I just ordered one of their roll kits. Have you tried those weird looking gloves with the brass palm sliders and the Tron-looking knuckle guards? Can’t tell if they’re the worst or coolest looking motorcycle gloves I’ve ever seen.
I would bet less than 5% of the people who buy them actually do any real off-road riding. And that’s fine. Most guys who buy cruisers never do any 10,000 mile tours. They’ve got the cash and like how they look and like the idea of it.
Seriously, the TT...What a snooze fest. I mean no one even died last year. YAWN.
Did you plan the color coordinated suit to the bike beforehand or did you bring a couple different options depending on which bike they gave you?
How do the dudes at MC keep beating you to reviews by like 2 weeks? (FWIW I still like yours better)
I would buy one of the new Brutales in a second if they had any kind of reliable dealer network. Doesn’t look like that’s happening any time soon.
There was a lot of talk during the pre-race show about them and the ex-rider on the panel (I forget his name) said that a lot of guys in the paddock told him they thought that’s what they’re really for. They’re not just on the Ducati. The Yamaha M1's have them, too. But the Ducati has 4 now as opposed to 2 last year.
Watching both Ducatis blow past Lorenzo on the first straight like he was standing still was maybe the only exciting part of the entire race. Plus, is there a cooler name for a racing bike than Desmosedici? If Iaonne can learn to stay on the bike he could be dangerous this year.
Well I just bought the STR new for $10.5k and it was $12.7k by the time the dealer fees, shipping, tags, and tax all got factored in. So I figure at $14.5 the Thrux is going to have at least $2.5k extra tacked on, maybe a bit more. Granted, you’re running into that with any new bike but it still just makes for some…
