The whole thing kind of falls apart without the right lead. Actors with Chow Yun-fat’s charisma and presence are few and far between.

No that’s ok I’ll watch the original again, thanks!

Yeah. A.V. Club is by far not the only ones doing this, though. I’ve read similar headlines from several horror sites.

Yeah I was definitely getting the vibe of “I hate watching my past stuff, all I see is the stuff I’d do differently now.” Which is a valid response for an artist, even if obviously their earlier efforts are what led to (hopefully) their more refined artistic expression in the future.

I definitely consider myself liberal/left, but I often find myself pretty disgusted by how much discourse on the left sounds oddly like it’s promoting separation of the races.

I don’t think anybody ever claimed that getting vaccinated would mean you couldn’t catch or spread COVID, just that it reduced the likelihood dramatically, which is still true. I don’t think any experts have ever said straight up that cloth masks don’t work, just that they’re not as effective as N95's, which is still

Is it bad that I agree with Strong, and don’t really see “Succession” as a comedy? To me, it has always been a drama with comedic moments, but the entire story is an absurd tragedy.

‘99 is pretty rad.

“How is this newsworthy? So somebody’s gay, big whoop”

Beer? I thought the guy was drinking Coors Light?

Is there a single person in the Anglophone world that doesn’t know this about the Oompa-Loompas? Also, it’s a half-truth. The first editions of the book had illustrations of the Oompa-Loompas as African pygmies. They are never described as such.

Oh, so this is fine, but my recreation of Saw I in my basement is "gross" and "over the line" and a "crime scene."

Die Hard is a good comp, but the trailer was giving me some Planes, Trains, and Automobiles But With Assassins and Explosions vibes, and if so I am fully on board with that premise.

It’s OK, we’ll always have Iron Man 3.

Definitely feels like less by-the-numbers than Falcon and the Winter Soldier turned out to be.

I immediately thought of Shane Black as well. Too bad he’s not involved.

It’s nice. I feel like we could all use a little passive background festivity.

My hope is that the truce from the end of Revolutions is honored. Humans now know about The Matrix and are free to leave. A new threat, such as human terrorists, are now the villains. I think there’s some good evidence for that in the trailer too: Judging from the color scheme, this is the world from the end of

“This Time” stands on its own, you can watch it as a parody of daytime chat shows without knowing anything about the character or Coogan and it will still hold up. Really one of the funniest series out there right now and it’s a fucking travesty it got yanked from HBO Max.
