It’s a decent film. Not top tier Disney but fun for the kids. Lots of Disney in jokes as it’s meant to be their 100th anniversary film (Wish on a star...)

I mean, she’s been referred to as one of the most powerful beings in the MCU by the Russo Brothers. https://www.marvel.com/articles/movies/russo-brothers-on-captain-marvel-in-avengers-endgame
Aren’t what? Powerful or Human?
Laser beams have feeling too.
Yep. This. Rockets, a shield, a hammer, big green fists. Distinctive powers. Excitement around learning to use them and master them. A grade of power strength and weaknesses. When you remove a reference point (a human, earth) you remove the powers...power.
Would like to see a hard reset. Instead of the Avengers, build up X-Men or F4. Don’t use legacy actors, start afresh. The beauty of the original X-Men and Iron Man movies was we didn’t know what to expect, what the actors would bring. Using legacy actors or bringing back Thor for a 5th time takes that away.
What annoys me is that they’re not teasing their new X-Men direction, but instead using the previous X-Men. The Fox X-Men series had great moments - but was deeply flawed towards the end. Let’s just put that to rest and start again. Let’s have a new Wolverine, Professor X, Cyclops. Let’s have new stories and arcs, inst…
Think Peter Jackson would disagree
Could see him as a kind of Mr Fantastic. Could bring the whole Bear cast across for the rest of the Fantastic 4
Would Marvel really resort to the old Avengers right now when they’ve got X-Men and F4 brewing? Are they that lacking in faith. Yes, the recent multiverse antics have been tiresome but there’s plenty of room in the story to reset everything, block the other timelines (hello TVA) and make it a simpler F4 v Doom or…
Do studios not realise that hiring someone like Wes Ball is not the recipe for success. You really need a visionary for something like this
Thought the hint was that it would be the X-men (mutants being the big change). Wasn’t there even another tv-spot with a X highlighted. Or it could be Fantastic 4?
I’d add Diner Le Cons to Dinner for Schmuks.
Not true. Check his socials.
Two lines always stood out: “The Crane’s in Maine have your living brain.” and “Don’t cry for me, Arge and Tina”.
I mean, it’s probably fake. But even if it isn’t, can you imagine the headlines if someone spotted him just watching on as two girls fought. Not a good look.
Dark Shadows, Alice and Charlie all sucked. They all felt like Burton parodies. Big Fish is a great film and should be pushing top 10.
I mean, yes, “let’s do podcasts because we can’t do acting” is a good angle. But then why focus on a podcast where they’d be in character so they can’t do it as they’re on strike. Weird.
What bothers me about The Meg and trailers for Meg 2 is the lack of consistency with the size. Not only does this instinctively suggest CGI, it also takes away the sense of scale. Jaw worked in part because they had a physical shark.
Can’t really fault this. Apart from Crimson Peak - good film but just not scary. Relies too much on CGI, which is saying something for Del Toro.
