There is a TV mini series “Firestarter 2: Rekindled”, but stay away from it.

The tension was more how many cops would get killed if their escape didn’t work out well. As it turned out: plenty.

I forgot to add that both of them have taken over the identity of nasty people, by shapeshifting or eating the brain.

Is the similarity between Murn and Hank Henshaw from Supergirl intentional? Both are black guys leading organisations tasked with hunting aliens who turn out to be aliens themselves and have a similar attitude.

“...possessing powerful psychic abilities, and fueled by hate in his quest to take over the galaxy”

The butterfly screams in the factory were right from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Typical human reaction. Kill everything you don’t understand.

Considering the ease with which that senator butterfly resorted to torture, I wouldn’t call him good. Torturing one physchopath in the hope that the other one will start talking isn’t even smart.

People can read the Bible and still think God is a good guy after all the genocides. As long as the people are far away and culturally different it’s easy to think that “They probably deserved it”.

Did they cut the part from the book where the ice hauler got loaded with every object that could fly, dumping thousands of false targets to confuse the defences of Medina? It made the whole idea of sending down troops look like less of a suicide mission.

Cameron invented an entirely new sign language they had to learn. (Just guessing, but it’s something he would do).

I assume the article discuss the particle usually called a photino. A supersymmetric partner to the photon.

Adding the ‘literally’ was begging to be nitpicked to death.

Ohnoray, in the book Nanaeve has a block that only lets her use the power when she is angry. She is basicaly the Hulk minus the green and the shirt ripping. She probably noted long before she had any idea that she could channel that her healing worked better when she was angry, so it’s only natural that she would feed

Bran was also presumably unable to have children, so he couldn’t found a dynasty. For the other families it was just a way to buy time where they could rebuild and try to become kings the next generation.

Long ago I saw both movies fairly close together and noted that there was a couple of scenes in the remake that didn’t really make sense. They were just copied from the old movie, presumably because they were cool, even if changes in the script made them not fit in.

I agree that after the first few episodes it seemed the writers didn’t really have a plan, they just added random wierdness to keep people interested. Ghosts, strange voices etc.

Gandalf is also a Maia, a demigod, who gave up much of his power to held Middle Earth without causing the earth shattering wars that had happened in earlier ages. He really is alone, especially since the other wizards had been lost and Saruman betrayed him.

Seems like burglars need this data to see where they can break in with minimal risk that there is a cop nearby. They can make their own cop prediction software.

Rand’s fight in the first book is powered by The Eye of the World. 50(?) Aes Sedai from the Age of Legend had died to store all that power, and it was a one time use. For the rest of the series he has to rely on his own power.
