Every “feel good” story about people standing in line to vote, old people overcoming difficulties to vote, and the resilience of the American voter are fucking horrible stories of how fucked up our system is.

It’s easier for a white person to get to space than it is for a Black person to vote at this point.

That whole paragraph (about the decision to absolve the prison and county) is a dozen different kinds of astonishing and disgusting.
