It's called being able to learn from history. Kodak and Blockbuster were hugely profitable ... until they weren't anymore. We've seen this story before. We also know how much better Tesla vehicles are as a product because we have them and can compare. There is a substantial fraction of the auto market that has seen

It would be more accurate to say European companies are having a hard time selling EVs. Tesla is selling them as fast as they can make them. When products like the new Porsche Taycan hit the market and only have 60% of the range of the 7 year old Tesla product they are targeting and cost twice as much, it’s no mystery

Tesla continues to shine as the legacy manufacturers learn how hard it actually is to bring to market a fully developed EV.

Elmiraj sounds awesome.  Like stumbling upon a tropical oasis in the desert.

Boomer here, I don’t care what powers it, if it looks like this, I’m in!!

Evoq and Elmiraj are awesome for super high end flagships. Shit, it sounds like a 5 star hotel from Dubai.

Here’s a spy shot of the tech getting ready to install the engine.

Yeah, a 1200HP engine that weighs 28 lbs would be something.

That’s Captain Pedantic, I’ll have you know.

I would much rather believe they made a 28lb engine fully dressed.

Get a load of Mr. Pedantic over here.

This engine is the world’s lightest production V8, according to Koenigsegg, weighing a mere 12.5 kilos (or just over 28 lbs).

Too much lag. You would lose some of that initial torque.

Couldn’t Porsche just install a larger turbo to increase the range?

So after reading Audi/Porsche marketing materials, you decided to give them a pass.

Porsche talked all that trash, and then when it came to the most important metric for an EV...it couldn’t beat vehicles 25% of it’s price?! Congrats Porsche...you’ll be the fastest EV alright...from charging station to charging station. Go take several seats!

Volkswagen and going around the EPA. Name a more iconic duo.

Your friend sounds like a boomer, too self-absorbed and stupid to plan properly for the future.

OK, I’ll bite. Why shouldn’t a trailer be self-powered so it hauls its own weight? Batteries in a layer below the floor and the electric motor goes to the trailer’s axle—boom. But here’s the key: the trailer’s electronics would interface to the car’s electronics so the trailer’s motor would be “throttled” by the car’s

I can think of another electric vehicle enhanced by a reliable and known technology that can tow literally thousand of tons for miles:
