I think with dimensions of the bronze part compared with other statues that have been pulled down would give us a good estimate. I'm not advocating that anyone actually do this. However, if anyone does, that's seems like a reasonable approach to evaluating this.

Good point, amateurs would probably get hurt. A lot could go wrong including snapped cables maiming people. This is something you would have to plan and practice. Everyone involved could be charged too.
