Singular they is grammatically correct. And it’s been so for several centuries, it’s not a new thing.

As a fan of Le Cars, I think the price is about 1K too high. They are not bad cars, relatively speaking - their competition consisted of American-made Rabbits and Chevettes; cars Le Car easily bested in handling, comfort, and yes even build quality. But it’s still a Le Car.
