It seems weird to go “he joked about someone having sex with their grandson, so it’s natural that he beat his girlfriend.” By that logic, wouldn’t it be more natural for him to have sex with his grandson?

Most importantly, who the fuck cares? Is this a tabloid???? Embarrassing.
Wasn’t the OG Fullmetal Alchemist finished before the manga was done, and Brotherhood was the full adaptation of the completed works?
> to ensure the game feels approachable and representative of our Western players
I just hate these kinds of responses. Just say the truth “we gotta cover these up so we don’t get age restricted or cancelled”. Don’t try to sell it as if it’s because the players want less revealing outfits, if you’re a fan of asian MMOs…
actually, yeah...why doesn’t the “don’t support horrible people” apply to G/O-owned sites?
I may be misreading it, but it sure sounds like the implication is that HP itself is disposable, it happens to have a lot of supporters, and because of that WB has no problem “aligning with a transphobe”, as if that was the decision being made. Which is just, again, ridiculous.
The reality is to people on Kotaku and…
Your reasoning here is ridiculous, sorry. I just can’t read that in good faith, unless you’ve really convinced yourself it’s the case, in which case I don’t really know what else to say besides “touch grass”. Why did they choose Harry Potter? Cant be because of the generic setting, must be because of the transphobia?…
‘anyone who pledges to support her monetarily is also a transphobe’ and comments like that, where people say ‘you’re x if you y’, immediately draw my ire. Give me a reason that’s substantiated, not a threat of your perception of me shifting.
“The Game Awards AKA the annual reminder that everyone in the industry is dripless and dresses like shit.”
I can’t overstate how disappointing this article is. Judging people by what they wear and not, say, what they’ve accomplished (you know, what awards shows are meant to be about) deserves every bit of pushback.
Ironic that a Kotaku writer emailed in this article from home while wearing sweatpants and a Cheeto stained tshirt
Sounds less like the industry has an "identity crisis" and more like you want it to be something it's not (Hollywood.)
I’d love to read an article about diversifying the upper echelons of video game developing companies. I couldn’t give a rats ass less about what any of them are wearing.
“So, basically, invite more marginalized people to The Game Awards, give more marginalized people jobs in the industry, and maybe let someone who isn’t a white guy named Todd or Glen make a triple-A game. Then The Game Awards may start looking like a proper awards show.”
Maybe have this be the crux of the article…
I’ve seen how Kotaku writers dress. Don’t even!
Who gives a flying fuck what someone wears to a video game award show? And more importantly, who gives a flying fuck about video game award shows?
