I’m playing it on Switch and it’s fine. I haven’t had any really noticeable performance drops. The graphics are like early Xbox 360 game-tier.
The switch hate here is super goofy. UE4 runs on toasters (probably literally). Incredibly efficient and well-optimized engine. Most people with a switch aren’t looking for earth-shattering graphics or framerates.
Oof. Guess it’s time to spring for a Series S and an extra controller. Somehow this option is still cheaper than most LEGO sets, so it will at least let me save enough for my kid to attend Jr college.
It’s hard to embed links here, but someone on YouTube has a performance analysis of the Switch version. Seems it looks serviceable and runs around 25-30 fps with regular drops — but that’s in single-player mode. That doesn’t bode well for split-screen I’m afraid. But yeah, this really is the perfect game for parents…
The LEGO Movie and Mario Kart 8 are the two things my 10 year old and I most enjoy together. This sounds like a crossover made just for us, though I’ll wait until I hear more about the Switch port before pulling the trigger.
This. It was so scary to have them hop up and just hoof it at you. Incredible game!
Those tree monsters are seriously terrifying. Horror developers should take notes.
RE games are great because they give you this really terrifying, atmospheric horror setting and then fill it with the goofiest bunch of antagonists you could imagine. Village was a great example of this, some real compelling horror and then some of the silliest tension killing horror comedy you could think of. Dead…
Leon still has his ridiculous one-liners, and those were a big part of the camp. Its in other videos.
I actually really like the change, it’s show not tell. Instead of boring, drawn-out, clumsy QTE sections where Leon shows off his amazing knife skills, you actually get to do it yourself via actual gameplay. That’s absolutely a change for the better IMO, gameplay reflecting character and, honestly, less QTEs.
“Here’s some free stuff” “Oh I have to have the app installed for one day to get it? PASS”
they were such a cool and random surprise in botw. yes later they became part of the story, but they were part of the “anything can happen” type of game botw was, you just were waling on a bridge and a thunderstorm came and all of a sudden, giant dragon just chillin’ flying above you, it felt magical, honestly it was…
Movie Snape (and Rickman’s being amazing) almost retconned the book character from scumbag to anti hero in people’s minds I feel like.
I’m intrigued by what Tim Roth could have done with the role. Alas he read Tim Burton’s PotA script and still decided to make that instead.
Albania is a long-way from the UK and they tried to give her a more formal British accent during some of the films.
Here’s the full quote: “Alfonso [Cuarón, director] was quietly ballistic with me. I love him too much to let it last too long so I wailed offset and we sorted it out. He’s under the usual HP pressure and even he starts rehearsing cameras before actors, and these kids need directing. They don’t know their lines and…
Sure as hell feels like a burn, but I’m not sure how.
“Emma [Watson]’s diction is this side of Albania at times
Snape would have been an unbearable character with almost any other actor in the role
