Good write up, been trying to stay away from the news but I couldn’t help myself. I am glad they are heading back to Vice city, considering we live in the times that FL seems like it’s own REAL LIFE GTA location with all the insane crap Deathsantis is doing and the violence down there( I grew up in the hoods of Opa

Can’t wait for Legend of Zelda: Sweat of the City and Legend of Zelda: Saliva of the Land

There’s also a new website, but it doesn’t really have much on it yet: https://zelda.com/tears-of-the-kingdom/

There is a really pretty wallpaper to extract from the background of the site:

Yup, and that’s not really a bad thing; I am glad there’s more cozy, simlike games than, say, hyperviolent bloodbath games. But I was just hoping for a bit more variety in this direct, though there were a couple titles that piqued my interest a bit (Oddballers, Tunic, Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Ib to name a few).

eh, I’d argue the Switch got the better deal. 4K graphics for a game that came out 25 years ago (that’s right folks, a quarter century, feel every minute of that one) will not really change much.

I doubt they would walk that back since people were excited to see more of the story.

The little bit of actual geography shown in the trailer also seemed to be Ludfo’s bog.

I got BotW and Horizon Zero Dawn both at launch with the plan to play them simultaneously. That failed miserably and BotW won out. I am just now, in 2022, on the verge of beating HZD, and the joke is it will take me until 2027 to play Forbidden West. But with Pokemon and God of War due out in a few months and now the

This direct had so much even if some of the biggest announcements were teasers more than full trailers. It was well worth the wait. Next year is another full year of switch.

Excellent trailer and for a long Direct with so many farm game misdirects, wow this hit me in the belly. Can’t wait!

Unpopular opinion: Angelo and Laughintosh 3000 were great one-shot bits that would have suffered catastrophically diminishing returns over time. And I think those were preexisting bits from Athari’s standup - which leads me to believe he didn’t have a lot left in the tank to pitch over the past season.

I like that the crack marketing firm JCPenny hired was able to come up with the exact ad character that Maria Bamford did for Target like 10 years ago.

I saw her in one of those JC Penny commercials and I was like “Good for her...wait, how is JC Penny still a thing? Haven’t they closed like 10x now?”

I don’t think Athari pissed anyone off, but I can see SNL not being a great fit for him. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him elsewhere sometime soon.

Yeah they never really let her loose, even though her Daily Itineraries were pretty entertaining. The writing was on the wall when they had Chloe Fineman do an impression of Melissa.

I actually saw Moffat in some indie movie where he visits his uncle on a farm in WI who turns out to be a murder. Moffat was not great in it, and I was really surprised to see him on SNL shortly after. Maybe he’ll surprise us. For some people SNL is a box.

Yeah, which I found kind of odd, since Villasenor can do a ton of different characters, whereas Aidy Bryant had about three - two accents and herself.

Melissa was always funny but SNL seemed to only really put Aidy Bryant as the main woman in almost any skit with a famous person.

Melissa Villasenor wasn’t a shock, given how vocal she was about not getting airtime last summer. Maybe she made enough money off those JC Penney commercials that she feels comfortable moving on. Alex Moffat is a funny guy, but he seems destined to play generic 4th lead in a few movies, then do a sitcom that flops.

Felt like the writing was on the wall for him when his best character, Angelo, kept showing up in the “cut for time” sketches on YouTube. I’m not sure the guy appeared in a live sketch the last month of the season.

Oh, I liked Aristotle. :( Was hoping he’d see more time next season.
