My problem with Waingro is not that he's a trigger happy psycho but that he's also a serial killer. His angle of death scene with the prostitute is chilling, but it leads to five minutes of Hanna and the dead girl's mother, which is five minutes too many in an otherwise excellent and terse movie.

I got a kick out of Mann's commentary where he explains Neil's affectation of wrapping Eady's nightstand water with a napkin because convicts always add little touches to the things they do!

Others might mention this below, but I'll say right now that Pacino's character was filmed doing blow throughout but Mann deleted the scenes. Pacino stated that the omission made his big ass scene seem awfully bizarre.
