I think I found my new favorite Gawker employee.
I think I found my new favorite Gawker employee.
Technically yes, but there aren't very many teams willing to rely on MLEs and amnesty-ing guys to take on a max deal, even if it's LeBron.
I'm not sure if I'm in the minority here, but when I got the alert about LeBron saying this and the "demand," I honestly said, "He deserves it."
I'd like to think that a lot of the young talent that's shining right now will just get better chances to show what they can do for their clubs, rather than raking in the dough.
A much needed day off provided some very solid outcomes: had lunch with an old friend I haven't seen in quite a while, got some new reading (Neal Stephenson's newest novel Reamde), watched some top notch soccer, grilled some perfect burgers for dinner, and capping it with the Cup race under the lights at Kentucky.
Not long after the slam, the match climaxed with Johnny Cockstrong's amazing finisher.
One of the better tracks off of Nothing.

I believe that we will swim.
As much as I hate the idea of agreeing with anything Alexi Lalas says, he made the obvious point in saying how much of a waste of talent Suarez is when he does shit like this. I haven't been this heartbroken in my entire life.
Uh huh... That's what they all say.
Oh now you post this... I want credit for this.
I'm a little disappointed in you guys for not acknowledging the awesomeness that was Marcell Ozuna's game-ending laser of a throw to beat the Mets last night.
It's been a heavy bourbon weekend for me. Old Fashioned's, bourbon and cider, etc.
It's part of the easy listening/pop jazz section of my vinyl collection. Along with a boatload of Al Hirt records.
Major nostalgia trip because of the song choice in tonight's DUAN. Rise Above was on the soundtrack for the first skate game I ever had for the Playstation: Grind Session. The character choice wasn't deep (I always chose John Cardiel), but the soundtrack kinda opened my 10/11 year old eyes to punk and underhyped rap.
