Wow! I could not see that woman until she came into the headlights. While she did not dart into the road, there was no way the car could have stopped in time with a human in control. It will be interesting to find out the range of the LIDAR.

...How? She’s basically invisible until she’s within 20ft of a car on a 45MPH road. There’s no way in hell it’s stopping in time, and I’m not sure if it’s able to “panic swerve” around her in time.
And I have to say, while she didn’t “dart out” into the road, she was wearing black with no lights or reflectors on a dark stretch of highway. I think that the driver (operator?) should have been paying more attention but I’m not sure it would have done much good. You can watch the video, and it’s almost impossible to…
Sue everyone, that’s the American way.
It’s all fun and games until we get to ‘XXX’ and Vin Diesel shows up.
Hopefully, the studio will get rid of Zac Snyder and course-correct. That might be too little, too late for the current iteration of these superheroes...
Ah! Black Widow literally got between the king and his limo. As a bodyguard to royalty, no one impedes his majesty’s progression. That even goes in the real world.
Having finally seen The Last Jedi, I have to say it was brilliant. I was firmly on the anti-Johnson bandwagon, but I was wrong. It wasn’t a perfect movie, but it wasn’t remotely as bad as some people have made it out to be. And I think it sets up some fascinating possibilities for Episode IX.
The OJ trial taught me a lot about how you can buy outcomes with enough money. When someone gets a public defender there’s no investigator digging up evidence on cops. There’s no expert witnesses to create an alternative narrative. OJ got off because he was rich and had means to create doubt with the jury. The other…
The thing that people should be upset with about the O.J. acquittal is that his wealth and high profile diverted justice. If O.J. were a poor black man, he would still be in jail if not dead.
It’s Gen X nostalgia, directed by a Baby Boomer and marketed to Millennials.
Things! Stuff! Shiny!
I didn’t notice that - but this seriously triggers my marketing gag reflex.
How he has not disintegrated into a fine mist out of sheer embarrassment over his existence is truly a testament to his resilience.
That knife really should have had a blue LED and a light saber base...
“What if when we die, God turns out to be a giant Porg????”
It’s so hard to have a favorite with this movie! But I love Danai Gurira and I relate most to Okoye’s POV (I bet she’s the Wakandan version of a Taurus).
that’s a really good point! W’kabi might have represented a distinct 3rd viewpoint with more time, but the movie was already pretty stacked with characters.
Sterling K. Brown only really had those 2 scenes, but he absolutely killed it. He managed to have character development even after he died.
“Unfortunately it occurred at a point in the movie where audiences just wanted to get to the resolution and so it slowed down a part of the movie and we were afraid audiences were checking out. “
Interesting that they came to that conclusion. To me, I think this would have helped the third act - it felt like it flew…
