My elderly dad fell asleep with a pot of the stove that ended up setting the kitchen on fire. His German Shepherd broke INTO the burning house to wake up my dad and save him. The GSDs are the bravest, most loyal breed there is.

The new footage will probably be animated, with bad cgi.

How much did they spend to remove a mustache?

The biggest spoiler moment has to be from Planet of the Apes, right?

Yeah, going by old memory here, but Luke was a commander and Han was a captain in Empire.

If there was ever a time for a “Shut up and take my money!” gif, this is it.

As a Gen-Xer, I’m getting up there is years too, so I don’t want to dump on old people. But I think the biggest mistake was Universal setting their universe around people who are now in their mid- to late-50s (Cruise, Crowe, Depp). Even Angelina Jolie, the youngest of their stars, is 44 years old now. Ageism is

Should add “The Terminator” to this list.

Why are there more potential Jedi after Ep. 9 than after Return of the Jedi?  Ezra and Cal may have been around during Luke’s time, but they don’t get counted toward RoTJ?  So we’re just looking at “potential” jedi -- but why would “potential” jedi be any more numerous after Ep. 9?  Did the birth rate increase?  If

Disney doesn’t want to be “associated” with Fox news. But I have no doubt that Disney, behind the scenes, fully supports pro-business/anti-union, tax breaks for wealthy, less government regulation, and all the other republican “values” — they just don’t want to be “associated” with it.

The best series finale of the year was “Veep.” THIS is how you wrap up a villain’s story in a way that is fitting, sad, funny, maddening, and surprising, and memorable. The writing, directing, and acting were top notch, and put “Game of Thrones” to shame.

The show was more concerned with Suprising! us than with setting up the ending. If they set the stage and showed Dany’s descent gradually, people would have guessed that part of the ending, and that’s bad — surprising people is more important to the showrunners than good storytelling.

Another first place vote for The Shinning. Followed by The Raven.

I think the need to “surprise” people (which is related to spoilers, although slightly different) is what ruined the last season of Game of Thrones (well, that and very bad writing). They had enough screen time to build up to Dany’s ultimate actions/fate, but they deliberately chose not to do that — because if they

This is actually number 3 — behind “The Shinning” and “The Raven.”

I STILL won’t go in the ocean because of Jaws.  (Also because of bacteria, but mostly because of Jaws).

And this was the one GOT spin-off that I was actually looking forward to. With this cancelled, and Veep over, I don’t know why I still pay for HBO (note to self: cancel HBO).

Ron Howard is a perfectly fine director . . . for network television. His comedies are at the level of network tv; his dramas are at the level of network tv. But he lacks a true artistic and creative vision that Star Wars or similar properties require.

I think Benioff and Weiss were fired by Kennedy. But, it wasn’t because of GOT or lack of “quality” they would bring to Star Wars. I suspect D&D were going behind Kennedy’s back to cut a deal with Netflix IN ADDITION TO Star Wars, then Kennedy found out and fired them for it. Because I can’t believe anyone, even those

I don’t think GRRM was pleased with how the show was written after they ran out of books. But the actors didn’t seem happy either (except for Sophie Whats-Her-Face, who was probably happy just to have work). HBO wasn’t happy with the way the ending was rushed. The viewers were vocal in their criticism. When EVERYBODY
