Why is his silly character even in the next movie? He’s just a parody of a villain. At this point, I would have preferred Ep IX scrap all non-essential characters who didn’t work in the previous two films, and give us something fresh. I guess that was asking too much.

There aren’t many Jedi in the OT, so Kenobi stood out just because of that. But also, Alec Guinness gave one of the best performances in the OT, and Ewan McGregor gave one of the best performances in the prequels - so it’s easy to project our appreciation of the performances into an appreciation of the character. Pooh belongs with children, not adults. I would have preferred something like the “Peanuts” cartoons, where we never see any adults.

The statement says they physically altered their species to be larger, *just* so they can defeat humans -- even though they were already physically large enough to do so. That isn’t “dumb” to you? Then maybe this movie was tailor made for you. I hope you enjoy it.

I like the Paddington movies, and I would have given the Christopher Robin movie a try — except I saw in an ad they are using Disney’s version of Tigger, not the original. I fucking HATE Disney Tigger!  So it’s a skip.

I know we’re not supposed to take The Meg seriously, but at this point they made the shark so big that it’s not even scary anymore. I mean, look at it in the posters - the amount of energy that thing would expend trying to eat a human simply isn’t worth it. It would be like negative calories.
