When I was younger, I wanted to travel to the future if I ever had a time-travel device. But lately I've lost interest in the future. One of the reasons is the loss of so many species (although there are many other reasons too). I no longer think of the future as being better than what we have now. I feel sorry

Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Building in Honolulu. Doesn't really match my mental image of palm trees and sandy beaches.

I worked for a library back in the 80's, and even back then the librarian told me CDs don't last as long as people think, because they "degrade." I've been waiting for that to happen to my CDs at home ever since, as my own little experiment, but I ended up losing my CDs before they had a chance to degrade.

Will you take an out-of-state, two-party, bad check?

My astronomy prof always pronounced it "ee-oh" but a linguistics major corrected him that it *should* be pronounced something closer to "yo." I'm pretty sure "Lo" is wrong, though.

They got to Chicago via the St. Lawrence seaway.

Don't waste time punching it in the nose - you probably can't throw a punch under water that could hurt a shark. Go for the eyes.

I hope he got his T-shirt.

As I read this article, that pic of the sun looked like it was pulsing. But it stopped when I looked directly at it. I don't trust it.

Beside, animals — whether through natural evolution or creation — all have their roles to play. Some animals are meant to be predators, and some are meant to

Maybe they don't trust Affleck to be able to act with just the lower half of his face, so the mask has to do the acting for him? He's a good director, but a sucky actor, so I don't blame them.

I didn't mean for that pic to be so big. How can I delete it? Argh!

Even though I loved "The Grey," every other person I know hated it. Maybe I give it more credit than it deserves, and I'm seeing something that isn't there? Sorry if this was mentioned by someone else.

I don't think it's a stretch to think that people who were raised with the idea that demon possession, angels, saints, and Jesus appearing in a pizza are real things, would also be more likely to believe in unicorns, dragons, and Harry Potter.

Not a building, but the old AT&T logo really looked like one.
