Matt is the best part of the show.

I know--it is just raises further questions! (How does Octavia know what the hell Hope is even doing?)

Of course, Raven Reyes would have to sacrifice herself to save all of humanity.  Because Raven never gets a happy ending...  :(

I loved Clarke holding the gun to her own head as a threat to bring Madi back from the clutches of the Dark Commander, which I would like to think was her personal homage to “Blazing Saddles.”

I think the teenager playing her at 16 helps. :) Syd has gotten better but as soon as she went on another second season Melanie Bird “men are bad” rant, I had to roll my eyes. Syd called Melanie out on that last year. Why is she still doing it?

All I thought was “OHMIGODMAJORISGONNADIE!!”

It wouldn’t be the finale of a season if Raven didn’t have anything to do

Well, they’re basically the Goa’uld, so making them sympathetic would be tough.

Syd was describing her mom’s boyfriend in the shower, when she assaulted him and tricked him into statutory rape, not David. I was really disappointed that the show tried to frame what she did as her being the victim in that moment.

I was so relieved when Syd met her younger self. I thought finally the show would address the hypocrisy of her character. Instead, it implied the rape and jailing of another character was less important than being turned around for an unromantic sexual position.

What annoyed me in that analogy too is that Syd seemed to equalize David’s rape to her step-dad’s assumedly fairly normal sex in the shower. Like, I don’t know if the show ever needs to get into what Syd’s mother and step-dad’s relationship was like, but everything in the past implied that there was nothing not

Wow. Tough crowd.

The original show was challenging. You assumed during most of some episodes that you were on the right side, and then the writing turned the table and made you realize you still had prejudices and flaws. Anybody could watch it and be inspired in some way.

I’m just going to go out and say it: this Twilight Zone has been incredibly disappointing. There was so much potential and nuance to explore in many of these conceits, but for whatever reason they’ve decided on an almost cringe-worthy amount of heavy-handedness. Not only that, but the messaging in this episode is a

2019 Twilight Zone:

I was quoting the episode. One of the Sikh characters says “You know we’re Sikh, right?” when Justin approaches them nervously to ask them to turn off their video device.

You have entered The Twilight Zone, asshole.

I thought she died. I only watched part of the first season. Everything else I know about “Grey’s Anatomy” was from watching “The Soup”.
