It seems like basic advice but as someone who does hiring for his team, yeah... just explain it. I never really care that you have a gap, just was it a good reason... having a few kids and taking care of them is more than reasonable.
Why? Because Manny Machado is now just as good as Bryce Harper and Mike Trout but plays in the infield so you get tons of bonkers dives and throws
