I mean... you did say “he sucked at catching”

+8 hat sizes

Piazza definitely has gotta go in as a Marlin

So... he left the presidency, ran for and was elected to congress, and then called them all to testify?

He was actually middle-of-the-road as a catcher... baseball reference has him at 1.0 defensive WAR for his career so perfectly decent.

In a just world, Dirk and Duncan will just continue playing against each other and being great for like 20 more years

“What are the Colts Doing?” - Jim Irsay

It’s insanity because there are at least 6 slam dunk candidates on the ballot and probably 6 more guys who are worth a look, but I’m kinda digging the guys who vote for like 2 people... just saying “Nope, of all the great players out there only Griffey Jr and Lee Smith work for me”

Yeah Haren is everything Braden is not... literate, thoughtful, funny, successful beyond one particularly famous start

Well when you gotta pick between a meh-at-best coach and the GM who traded a first round pick for Trent Richardson, there really is no way to screw things up

that’s an impressive jump

It’s pronounced “meatball sub”

I think it’s reasonable to say that Tom Brady (or anyone) can be friends with someone without needing to agree with literally every item that person stands for... you know... like how people do

I too sat there with my brother in 1998 (or around then) and watched the stars screen for over an hour expecting something to happen... recently replayed everything alongside my now-fiancee and she couldn’t believe that was it... a frustrating ending to an otherwise remarkable game that is still excellent today.

I’m torn on Davis... as a diehard Orioles fan, I’ve been a huge fan of his since we got him (even when he hit sub-.200 in 2014... though that made it a little tough). The power is real and hard to replicate.Him leaving would make the Orioles lineup pretty thin... but...
