:( fair enough.
:( fair enough.
Am I alone in thinking Shannon Purser looks like a heavier Katie Stevens (Karma from Faking It and American Idol)? Have enough people watched Faking It that this question even makes sense?
I'm about to start Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, which I heard is great.
For the record, Justice Smith was pretty good in Paper Towns.
A Clash of Kings and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. Just finished High Fidelity.
Agreed. I saw it earlier this year and adored it. Made me cry, and made me feel a lot of weird conflicting feelings I'd never felt before.
David Ehrlich over at Indiewire actually wrote an article about YA stars like Radcliffe and Kristen Stewart using their clout to get cool and weird new movies made: http://www.indiewire.com/20…
Yeah, but if 20 people had replied to me telling me that it gets even worse and has no redeeming qualities, then I'd for sure not give it a chance. It does help to read the reviews and comments (for me); it's often a helpful tool to weed out some of the stuff that isn't worth watching. I'm with you, though, about…
I watched the first three episodes of this season and thought it was all pretty boring. Has it gotten any better? Unsure if I should catch up.
(The Color Wheel)
B+ for me, but I really love this show. The hour just goes by so fast - everything always feels like it's moving, and it's so fun to watch. I think Veep is the only other show on that's provoking the same level of fun and captivation for me right now.
That same headline could be applied to almost any season of House of Cards if you swapped the title with "Netflix's House of Cards."
I'm totally with you, but I also felt like the training scene wasn't really a hugely funny joke, more just a small laugh, so the eventual fall still felt like a big punchline to a lot of buildup. It worked for me.
Surprised at some of the negative comments on this. I thought this was an A- episode (lower than A only because some of the action wasn't amazing and Malcolm fucking Merlyn didn't die). Thematically, this worked out as best as I could've hoped for; Oliver killed Damien, but it doesn't mean he's reverting to the 'dark…
Fair enough. I'd give it a B-/B, though the more I think about it the less I like it. More entertaining than most episodes, at least, and the Jay Garrick reveal was kind of cool (though totally predictable at this point).
Pretty good episode. Henry's death was a really good scene, and though I was completely expecting him to die this episode (the one week I decide to watch the preview showed Barry screaming in agony), it was still really tense and sad, especially because of Grant Gustin's acting. I generally thought Gustin was better…
I just said this exact thing to someone earlier today. Just like Veep is a much tenser drama than House of Cards.
Spencer was absolutely the standout.
-Pretty funny that Fitz has become one of the most likable characters on this show. Several of his scenes this episode were surprisingly self-aware, like when he pointed out the convoluted web of relationships with Olivia, Mellie, etc.
-I still just don’t buy that Jake is now ‘chasing the sun’ or whatever. He was way…
Oops, I actually haven't watched much Brooklyn Nine-Nine yet. I've seen a couple episodes here and there but haven't gotten around to binging yet.
