I think B is right, but I was so happy to have this show back that I'd give it a B+ anyway. And it wasn't without its emotional spots - that scene between Ian and Mickey gutted me.

Huh, I still love it and liked the premiere. S4 was the best season, and though S5 was a step down, it wasn't a huge one IMO.
True, although I liked it far more than Krampus, The Visit, or even Goodnight Mommy (65%, 64%, 83%).
I'm going to read at least one novel a month that isn't for class. It doesn't sound too hard, but when you're an English major and most of what you do is constant reading for class anyway, it's hard to force yourself to make time for other reading.
I absolutely agree. This is my favorite horror movie of the year (though I haven't seen It Follows yet, and I'd say I love it aside from the ending shot, which slightly tarnished it for me. Don't really get why it has a 62% on Rotten Tomatoes (38% audiences); I can't see much wrong with it aside from unlikable…
A lot of the music is available to at least listen through on one of the two Mozart in the Jungle Spotify playlists, and there's also an album for it on Amazon Music, but I've checked both thoroughly and can't find the one I'm referring to.
I know a lot of people like it, but it seemed so subtext-free and dour to me. And, again, there was too much unnecessary emphasis on the random connections between characters.
That flag just killed me. I couldn't stop laughing for the entire next scene just from that flag alone, but there were other equally hilarious things happening, so I devolved into an increasing series of waves of laughter. This show.
I was also a little confused about Hailey's status within the orchestra throughout the season in general.
I always liked Jane Lynch, but after watching all six seasons of Glee, I'm not sure I can take any character even vaguely Sue Sylvester-esque anymore.
Sounds just like Thirteen Conversations About One Thing, another shitty hyperlink film about people looking for happiness.
For some reason I loved when Jess said, "Shoot me" getting out of her chair.
NEW GIRL! I'm pretty psyched. Last season was a real return to form.
I really would've liked to see reviews of it. I binged the whole season and really enjoyed it, and would've liked to see what people thought of each episode. Oh well. (My last, like, five comments have been complaining about this.)
Just watched the Shameless premiere, which is up on Showtime! It's pretty good! I'm so happy this show is back. It's probably in my top five shows ever.
That one too!
All these episodes seem to blend together, which is fine for binge-watching but makes it hard to remember what happened in specific episodes. I think that's why the S2 premiere is by far my favorite episode.
That episode with Dermot Mulroney was my favorite so far. I was surprised to see him in that role, but the guy's very charismatic.
Not sure I would call Mozart in the Jungle a "dark comedy"…
Definitely. It also seems a little more focused on Rodrigo so far, but Haley has had more notes to play in the first two episodes than she did all last season (when she was kind of a blandly likable shy protagonist character).
