Yeah... it’s sorta complicated. On the one hand, people do legitimately use these products for blemish/spot treatment (old acne scars, liver marks, etc.) and they should have the right to do that if they want.  On the other, people do misuse it for “fairness” purposes.  On the third hand, does discontinuing a face

I dont know... as a brown skinned Asian I’ve met my fair share of this whiteness fetish and I still think this does girls a disservice. Unless you change attitudes there will always be a market for fairness creams and when J&J and Unilever bow out the charlatans step in. Theres already a problem with phony, harmful

Deliciously savage.

Yeah, that's the plan. It would just take a while to get there, and it's hard for him to wrap his mind around starting over when he already felt he was building something.

I don’t know if people failed to show because of virus fears, or if they’re just fed up with Trump. Either way, I am sure he will take his rage out on his staff.

What a week. And I don’t mean that in a good way.

So over these last few days, my high school (I graduated 10+ years ago) has had a revolution going on.

Two brave recent grads collected and presented to the school board testimony after testimony of racial abuse against students.

We’ve made a list of demands and are collecting signatures to present to the school

I am continuing to watch the Trump rally coverage, and I heard a cute comment by journalist April Ryan.  She said that this rally was the political equivalent of Fyre Festival (hahahahaha), and dubbed it “Corona-Palooza.”

There is nothing political about masks but some folks want to view it as political. I say let your sister have her view so that it doesn’t reinforce this idea that the mask is a leftie flag.

Been on a serious cooking binge lately; could it be cabin fever? Made Valrhona fleur de sel dark chocolate brownies last night. OH MY GOD. Tonight’s dinner menu consists of tempura squash blossoms, grilled wild Mexican shrimp with lemon garlic butter, fresh corn on the cob, arugula kale & tomato salad and homemade

Excellent point. This also makes me consider the trans journey and how their view of “feeling feminine” (for a transwoman) may be influenced by the same things a 13 year old sees - famous, perfect, big lips, etc.

Our Governor just made masks mandatory this past Thursday, after having them be optional for a time. I was telling my sister, who claims to be an Independent, about a neighbor who is a Trump-loving Republican, who refuses to wear a mask. I told my sister how I had called my neighbor to tell her about the new mask

I’ve always said that nothing the Royal Family possesses has never been truly theirs, and I think the same is true for the Kardashians. Both of them gained wealth by theft of people, ideas, cultures, etc.

This looks lovely. I’ve always felt like I had a good repertoire of recipes, but we’ve been cooking at home so much that I just feel like I’m tired of everything.

I have a friend who comes over once a week for a distanced hang. Figuring out food stuff is weird because in before times we would just cook in my kitchen and now we have to be outside. But we figured it out (with pre-cooking, lots of hand washing, and not sharing stuff.)

I think that one woman’s armor becomes another woman’s adornment… [There’s] a kind of Kardashian aesthetic—this hyper-feminine, plump limps, the big hair, the extensions, the silicone-injected curves of the body—that in some ways might be a reflection of a change in aesthetics that comes out of the kind of gay men who

My friends mother would pat the brown skin of her face and moan “Feo, feo”(ugly). She would always wish she had the the lighter complexion of the more popular girls with more Spanish heritage. It always made me so sad

She wants to see all the managers ever!

I know. Get rid of socialism means what, exactly? No public roads?  No Fire Department? What?
