Well, his district contains both Gainesville (the very blue home of the University of Florida) and a lot of backwards hicks (everything that is not Gainesville.) So, probably a bit of both?
Your lips to the Flying Spaghetti Monster’s ears.
Yeah - I won't miss living on the ambulance route of one of the major hospitals - so much noise! Our new place is in a much quieter area, but not far from our current area. Your friend's new place sounds great!
You should look into it. At least in our city, sellers are making some deals, and the interest rates are ridiculously low. Our friend is moving out of our building too. Similar reasons, and she and her partner found a smashing deal. They had to look for a few months, and had a deal fall through on a different…
We bought a house. People in our apartment building keep violating the policy (wear a mask in shared spaces) and I can't wait to be in our own space. We made the offer months ago, and are finally going to move in the next couple of weeks. It is also about three times the space, which feels like it will come in…
I used to live for Pissing Contest, and I didn't even usually write a comment. I used to scroll through the stories and read out a particularly funny one to my husband. Some of them could be published in the New Yorker; they were so funny! As a relatively long-time poster, it does make you sad.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
Abso-freaking-lute-ly.
I got into it last year with a gay friend (white, highly educated and upwardly mobile) recently when he stated, “I mean, fighting for trans rights isn’t my fight, you know? I don’t see myself in that fight.” My response, “Well, by that logic, fighting for gay and lesbian rights wasn’t my fight, but I still showed up…
Now I am writing a fan fic where he goes full LBJ and cashes in all the chips, and breaks all the legs to get a wide array of socialist policies passed....a girl can dream...
Like the Missouri State motto, "Show me! 👏 Show me! 👏 Show me! 👏"
This is, perhaps, the only thing I want to be taught from conservatives. I’m a bit slow. They might have to teach me several hundred thousand times.
Terrifying. And Reason 463,298: Why I stay the hell out of the suburbs
Only recently rebranded Fair St. Louis. My eyes about fell out of my head when I saw an old announcement for the VP Fair with the “veiled prophet” on it. I had assumed it was Vice Presidential Fair until that moment.
