We are doing what you are doing - touchless grocery delivery every two weeks, long walks every 2-3 days in masks in a lightly trafficked huge park where we stay far away from everyone, exercises every day indoors. Cooking, films, books, games, and crafts indoors.  No visits IRL. We do home haircuts for each other.  We

Add one more to this list - we lived in a very small, very crappy college town for three years.  Browsing the limited items in the Sephora inside the JCP at the mall was one of the highlights of my existence in that town.  And I’m not even really a makeup or skincare person.  It made living in the middle of nowhere

So much unfounded confidence.  So dismissive, without any substance.  It would be farcical if these idiots weren't in charge of so many things in this country.

Or Christian Bale's body.....

Patrick Leahy for President is sounding pretty good right now TBH.

You need to meet more legacy-admit Ivy grads. Or maybe don’t, for the sake of your sanity. These turds are par for the course.

There is one in every crowd. In our friend group, one of the wives loves to jump in on every conversation with, “Well, actually...” The last time was when another party attendee and I had read the same Smithsonian Magazine article on the origins of common words. It was written by top linguistics researchers, and it

How is Reckoning?  We have it in the queue.  I really liked the main actor in Rectify.  If you haven't seen that one, put it next in line.

Because that bitch *can not* cook.  View her food-based Insta posts for CVS length receipts on this point.

So, just to be clear here, is she only okay with killing Grandmas? Because my State Rep was a young, healthy person in his 40's and died from COVID after catching it in the early days. And a five year old girl in our city died because her parents are both first responders, and just for an extra bit of awfulness, she

I am hoping that everything comes together. It has taken forever because of the pandemic. It is about 1200 square feet + an unfinished partial basement, so it will feel absolutely spacious compared to our ~500 sf apartment.  I love the wire rack shelving too!  We have a bunch of it from our old garage in storage.

🤣😂🤣 I like the way you think! We have been in a seemingly never-ending process to try to buy a townhouse. One of the HUGE perks would be a craft room that isn’t also the dining room/office/living room. It makes me overjoyed when I think about it, I cannot tell a lie!

Sure, happy that you found it useful! Her method has helped me work through my frustration at having limited time to sew due to a busy job, and my early sewing drive to finish things quickly (yet poorly, often). When I sit down, I say to myself that I only need to do one thing. Sometimes I do two or three, but hardly

There are some really good starter patterns out there now - the Grainline Hemlock, the Deer and Doe Plantain, several Tessuti patterns - all are great and free! They also generally have only three pattern pieces and are super quick payoff. Even a single week’s worth of ten minute stretches in the evening will get you

Seconded - I bought a ton of office basics from J Crew in my early office work days in the early 2000's. There was a reason Michelle Obama shopped there in those days - classic cuts, nice materials, easy to create tons of looks with each piece, and the clothes wore well.

Garg. If the cork isn’t dry/crumbly, you can push it into the bottle with a wooden spoon handlet and drink your red wine in a pinch.  Ask me how I know! 😁

After time in Florida, I will never judge anyone for air conditioning ever again. I couldn’t sleep without the air cranked down for most of the year.

Well done! It is great to hear good news anytime, but especially great to hear it now.  Thanks for sharing!

The gerrymandered Michigan legislature passed the bill, but Snyder (outgoing governor and definitely no angel) declined to sign it into law. It was one of the few decent things he ever did for Michigan. I believe that Wisconsin passed/signed a similar bill into law, and there was a lawsuit filed over it?
