Or maybe they went off in a TIMEship…lol. Perhaps lady observers, unlike the pale Morlocks of the male variety, are so exotic, alluring and beautiful that they only exist in a very particularly point in time, ie not the "crap detail"..there really is no un-sexist way to slice it…

ha yeah, took me a long time to think he may have just meant humans were animals, I think if he stressed "like" (as in opposed to hate) it would have been way clearer. My mind went immediately to the gutter and I couldn't get the makeshift winmark/Mr.Hands video out of my head.

@avclub-089627fe2e24173090e1bb5dbf215092:disqus  Super interesting point! I remember wondering why there weren't female ones before on one of these here internet comment boxes. Maybe the sexes merged in some way? Or maybe there is an Observer Queen somewhere?

If you listen to episode 164 of IGN's Channel Surfing they interview John Noble and he says they shot two scenes for the finale, one if they get renewed and one if they don't.

re:John Noble - goddamn I know! Guy's acting is on point, and they are really starting to show the wealth of great actors they have in the cast.

damn. dope analysis. You could also argue an amber/carbonite connection as well.

it was an acronym though.

I feel like I should have realized the Mantis continuity error, I only remembered the Lantern color and the Man of Steel Returns. But I wanted to share this:

I think the "Sy Fy original movie" criticism is harsh as well. There is plenty of cheese/Coast to Coast AM type stuff floating around in the Fringe soup, which is why I, and I hope others, love it…Numbers Stations, Men in Black from the future who love jalapeno hamburgers, Brad Douriff, alternate universes where

Don't be so cynical, although style is subjective, the CG for the monster was well done. I'm not going to bring up the days of Babylon 5 and The Principal/Snake monster from Buffy…

I thought it was cool, but I also liked the second and third Matrix movies.

I'm guessing the same passengers/crew was just for visual reasons, but it is interesting to note that stuff Peter obviously didn't have control over/direct influence in (Olivia's sister's amount of children and marriage…I'm sure there's other stuff but I can't keep everything straight in my head lately, I guess the

@jerodast:disqus not too mention they actually alter the "previously on" clips (I don't know if they did it other times, but they certainly did it with the "Vagenda" clip to make it about Walter)

were the pattern and ZFT related at one point? If it gets renewed, I really need to go back and watch the earlier seasons…

shit just got surreal.

I love Yes…but besides Fragile and Close to the Edge you're not missing much. You should listen to Bill Bruford's post Yes/non-Crimson work (particulary One of Kind) or Rick Wakeman's stuff (6 Wives of Henry the VIII)

The Jon & Vangelis song made the antagonist of this episode even more creepy…I could only even guess what it was because of how distinctive Jon Anderson's voice is.

I assume he has a bigger plan than his technology can accomodate and it will be revealed as we get to the end of the season, that will probably relate to the re-created First People machine. They implied Westfield was his experiment.

From the Observer recruitment pamphlet: Did you like Powder? Do you like black business suits? Do you like the spicier side of things? Being an Observer might be for you!

also remember Belly's instability from crossing back and forth
