I don't blame you, it's ridiculous. But if you are here, just please remember to check the user's screen name against their account name before you interact.

*check my screen name against my account name before replying*
*please check that my screen name matches my account name*
I hear ya. Usually I am the one shaking my head at amnesiac idiots who forget that we ALWAYS get snow here right into April, like they weren't here last year, or the year before. But this year has been brutal, and good folks are starting to loose it.
It's actually painfully cheerful and summery for me to look at, because it snowed AGAIN today up here. At this point I would murder to be able to go out in bare legs and sandals and breezy frocks, but that's a few months off still, so this is a cruel tease. It's like when the American department stores put the beach…
I have screenshots of him rolling through everyone's identities, and I could send them to the help desk, but what's the point? They're not going to fix it, and people aren't going to learn to check the account vs. the screen name: you literally brought him out of the greys moments after I warned you not to on your…
I feel anxious about what words he might put in my mouth, but also like one of the cool kids.
I'm next:
I just meant that the system is designed such that you can change your screen name to someone else's, and it doesn't seem like they're going to change that.
You can e-mail them (it's under the help button at the bottom) they are usually pretty responsive if you have a problem, but they're not going to change the rule that allows this.
I find her insufferable, but I do think she has a point about the bugs.
Ugh. Yesterday I was so excited that the grass in the yard appeared for the first time after being covered in piles of snow all winter. Not intermittently, but ALL WINTER. Today it snowed all day. :(:(:(
this is overly reductionist. For example, it would be an equally accurate description of European aristocracy.
I don't think it's comparable at all. Look at it this way; throwing a party celebrating WWII British or American allies, wearing their uniforms and singing their songs, is NOT equivalent to throwing a party celebrating the Nazis. Some legacies are just morally wrong, and slavery is one of them. Why people think they…
Well, they're kinda problematic on their own in how they relate to gender and class, but nothing compared to Old South Week.
I know right? Zero sense of irony or self-awareness detected there, but certainly a lot of gall.
formerly, members of fraternities and sororities at schools across the South wore Confederate soldier uniforms to these types of parties
It sounds like these knucklehead cop-wannabes were looking for an excuse to beat someone up, not using force because it was necessary. Maybe they were looking for someone to make an example of, and ended up being the example themselves: examples of racist assholes given too much power. Typical results.
Especially in contrast with his bright enthusiastic smiling picture at the top.
I can't believe they didn't drop the charges. I hope he not only beats the charges but also sues them into smitherines.
