Bruce has several great songs. Very few of them make the playlists of classic rock radio or the iPhones of white dads and sportswriters.
It’s a shame, but as a Liverpool fan, there’s just no way it was going to work long-term. Toxic is the perfect word for it, as the powers-that-be had already carved in stone that Sterling was a “problem” and were whispering over bullshit before he fully broke into the first team.
Hield is older than EVERYONE thought:
And as everyone knows, cricket has never had issues with bullshit displays of racism and classism under the guise of decorum.
Alisson is a gorgeous man with the name of a gorgeous woman.
Nah, that’s DC by a mile. Everyone from here has been replaced by asshole transplants like me, and that gets put in a big mixing bowl with all the lobbying and government contract fuckery happening on a daily basis. The “fan base” at almost every game looks like the attendance at a congressional hearing on corporate…
He’s been Mr. Reliable, a million times more entrepreneurial than I’ll ever be, and I have no doubt he will be professional as champ - or, at least, unprofessional in the right heel ways.
OOH A LITTLE BIT OF THE BUBBLY!
This is the most astonishingly accurate description of the Times’ opinion page that I’ve ever seen.
If it was the other way around, and the black, male anchor said “this pig looks like you” to his white, female co-host, he’d have been fired immediately.
I didn’t say a single thing about coasting. To be on the high end of the middle seeds in the West, you need either an elite offense or an elite defense, while the other side of the ball has to be mediocre at worst.
You - you know you just read an entire article about how Anthony Davis would rather be a power forward, right?
Do they really need a rim protector to end up where they want to be positioned, though? To end up as a 3-6 seed you’d only need a passable defense, assuming the offense is as elite as it should be (if it’s not, they’ve got bigger problems than whether they’re 12th or 19th in defensive rating).
Do you think that more groundouts instead of strikeouts, and fewer infield shifts, is what’s going to turn that around?
He tried, then agreed to wear, models of the same helmet that were fewer than ten years old, and thus not blanket banned. All along the league was saying the helmet’s age was the issue, but it was only after Brown found a compromise that they tested the helmets and told him he couldn’t wear one no matter the year of…
The reporting has actually been pretty clear, the commentary hasn’t. Brown found newer models of that helmet, and told the league he’d wear one of those to abide by the ten-year rule. Then, and only then, the league tested that helmet model and put it on the banned list no matter the year it was made. Brady/Rodgers…
Yes! What is over-selling if not pointing out the comical absurdity of the whole business? Shawn Michaels flopping around vs. Hogan is a hundred times funnier than any of DX’s “comedy skits.”
For what it’s worth, my anecdotal memory plus ten minutes of research shows him as one of the biggest beneficiaries of DoN. Reddit (admittedly not a representative sample of wrestling fans) absolutely blew up with people watching him for the first time and dying to know/see more.
I thought it was because of Steve Martin.
