I agree. As a young teenager I was a much bigger fan of Cyndi Lauper’s music and lyrics. They sort of came out on MTV at the same time, and I thought Madonna was a flash in the pan, but Cyndi Lauper had talent and depth. Madonna wound up being much bigger, but Cyndi still means more to me.
