I said the game presents every single political option as a joke (which is true - the game goes out of its way to point that out). You said I got a “South Park Reading” out of it, which seemed to me like a tremendously shallow way of deflecting. You were saying I read this game’s politics like those of South Park,

I have no idea how you can equate saying “the game’s politics are exaggerated and mainly satirical” to “this game’s humor is just like South Park”. Unless you think every satire is just like South Park...

I take it you haven’t played many games with political themes?

I severely disliked Outer Worlds, particularly. Might have been my fault, really; I was expecting a worthy successor to the real Fallout games (Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas). What I got was, at best, a well-intentioned copycat. That was to be expected, frankly: most of the people that made the original Fallouts great

Thiis certainly a take. A hilariously bad one, but a take nonetheless.

Erm... all political positions in Disco Elysium are caricatures. The game goes out of its way to point that out. It’s pretty clear the creator have a rather good grasp on the theories they are satirizing, but that does not change the fact that it is, well, satire.

I remember something like that, too. A quick google search yielded nothing conclusive, but it wouldn’t surprise me if this were not an original idea.

I met my current girlfriend on Tinder and we went out to dinner on our first date, so yeah. It depends on how you use it. I will say that there are a lot of people who use it mainly for sex, though (I did during a certain period, but got bored of that pretty quickly).

While Pewdiepie can be a fool sometimes, I find it hilarious to see just how determined some parts of the internet are to turn him into a kind of bogeyman. It is incredibly jarring to see so many (and yet, so few) people utterly convinced that he is absolutely evil.

The ending is truly disappointing, which is a shame. The series is so consistently brilliant that you feel almost betrayed once it is over.

These awards are just an enormous marketing event. Taking them seriously is an exercise in futility at best, much like the Oscars, and I say that as someone who absolutely LOVED Death Stranding (not the best game this year, though: that would be Disco Elysium).

Steam is a mess of a platform and Valve has absolutely no idea how to properly run a store.

It really depends on the strip. Sometimes the authors even mix things up and portray real-world occurrences as if they had the personalities of their avatars.

Makes sense. Guess I will go that route, then. Thanks!

The problem is not the character outfits themselves. I don’t even really care about the fanservice in this game, especially when what little there is actually quite tame and bland. If I wanted fanservice, specifically, I’d play a raunchier game or just resort to porn.

Precisely. The only thing that makes me want to wait for a similar patch for the Switch is the possibility of playing on the go.

Guess it’s emulating time, then.

And, I feel, the only ones enyoying the games they “own” with no strings attached will be the pirates.

Frankly, I’d have preferred a controller based on Guillermo Del Toro. Red and black with a tie - absolutely dapper.

He’s Brazilian. As a fellow countryman, however, I don’t think that excuses his poor grammar. Dude’s been publishing in English for years, but his skills with the language seem to be in permanent stasis.
