Yep, Arkane is dead and buried.
Yep, Arkane is dead and buried.
Those are all classics, too, but they require an open mind and a particularly strong stomach (especially Subahibi - Wonderful Everyday), which is why I don’t recommend them to people without knowing they’re open to this kind of experience.
It should be noted that several classics of the genre are on sale right now. Clannad, The Devil on G-String, Little Busters, Kinkoi, 9-nine-, The Fruit of Grisaia and Baldr Sky, for instance, are all being offered with some deep discounts and I encourage anyone interested in VNs to pick them up. Several of them are…
WAIT, A NEW MARATHON?!?!? IS BUNGIE FINALLY GOING TO MAKE GREAT SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGNS AG...
MGS3 is my favorite title in the series, but I have absolutely no faith in a remake with no involvement from Kojima.
I’d love to be proven wrong on this one, though.
Let me state this clearly for you: my original comment was a joke centered on the fact that Nintendo is an awful company (are you new to the internet? This is a well-known meme/conversation point). You somehow took it seriously, so I decided to tease you a little bit while gently making it clear to you that my comment…
What’s so surprising about this? Sony wants to cultivate its platform first and foremost; of course they’re going to prioritize their console. Microsoft also has a *massive* stake on personal computers, so simultaneous releases make perfect sense for them.
Yep, that’s exactly what I am arguing.
I wasn’t trying to jump at your throat; I mereley saw a piece of criticism I didn’t fully understand at first, so I asked you to elaborate. Your answer, however, was rather aggressive, which did make it seem as though you had a bone to pick with the genre, rather than something approaching a simple lack of…
Pirating Nintendo games is always morally correct, so you should do it.
Well, I believe your take is completely unfounded, but that second paragraph does make it clear how views like that could possibly be formed. As the other user said, even the most charitable interpretation of your post does not make it come off well.
Colantonio directed pretty much all of Arkane’s best games, including their two greatest pieces, Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah. I’m not aware of the inner workings of the studio, but at this point I’m willing to bet his departure sucked out a large portion of Arkane’s soul.
What do you mean when you say their games are anachronistic? Do you believe immersive sims are anachronisti, or do you refer to something else?
It’s not meant to be a gotcha: it’s meant to show that the original comic is so stupid that even an edit as mean-spirited (and almost as intelectually bankrupt) as this one is capable of making it crumble almost efortlessly.
Not sure why you’re bringing up Twilight, frankly. The original comic presents the argument…
WOTC is an awful company. News at 11.
The day they (and Hasbro) die and the MTG property is sold to some other entity will be a date to celebrate.
For all of this comic’s posturing about “false equivalences”, I always found it incredibly short-sighted and a bit US-centric, which is why I make sure to post this response someone made:
You don’t need to justify yourself to these people. He exposed himself as a tool the moment he called you a thief.
What we have so far is utterly fascinating, but I’ll keep my expectations in check. There are too many variables in these first two chapters alone and I’m not sure an indie studio can pull off this kind of C&C to the degree the game seems to be promising. Plus, it’s also quite common for titles with this kind of…
This just makes the shitshow that followed the accusations even more embarrassing for all the internet commenters involved.
Hopefully he’ll get back on his feet and work on RPGs again. He’s too talented to remain in the freezer.
Remember: pirating Nintendo games is always morally correct.
