Miranda can adapt Gore Vidal’s “Burr” as the sequel. Like most of Vidal’s work, it is a fascinating, if rather cynical, take on the “traditional” story, showing that Hamilton was neither as heroic, nor Burr as villainous as in the mythologized version.

What amazes me about this show is how it challenges the viewer to sympathize and fear maybe the wrong people.

Howard has a habit of being the recipient of wrath and abuse that really is tied to someone else. I.e. Jimmy’s various blow-ups directed at Howard that likely are fueled by the emotional baggage caused by Chuck. Maybe Kim’s blow up is her spitting a little venom at Howard that Jimmy probably deserved.
