But, you run into this problem...It runs OSX. Most technorati and "journalists (both real and blog depending on your point of view)" tend to use Macs, but the rest of the world still uses Windows. I admit, the Air is a good looking machine, but to me, it has zero use, because my IT department is Windows.

The board replacement is almost too easy. The hard part is getting a dupe of it. Your manufacturer keeps a stock of them, so if all else fails, try calling the manufacturer and ordering a replacement.
