Maybe we could have this article bumped to the top of all Gawker sites for awhile? Seems like a good time to educate everybody on protecting their online identity in case somebody gets their data in a similar attack in the future...Lets all take a step back and examine what we all can do to protect ourselves.

@Jason Chen: No way I would ditch. For those above that blame a lack of security/etc...don't seem to realize that this can happen to anybody and when it does, not even encryption will hold forever when the group responsible has physical access to the information.
