Are you saying that an adventuring character can’t be feminine?

I wish you were actually a sincere version of the malicious alter ego you’ve created. We need more of that person.

It’s not shoehorning; these characters don’t exist in any form until they are actualized by the entire creative process. Developing a character is basically schroedinger’s cat in a creative setting. They are neither one thing or another until the box is opened. Before it’s unveiled, there is no canon to break. There

I can only imagine how terrible grandparents’ christmas presents are for kids in China.

GamerGate is like Lyme’s Disease except videogames can get it and it’s transmitted by nerds instead of ticks.

I’d say you’re a very fortunate person if having to wait a few weeks for a new videogame to come to your country is the closest you’ve ever come to being screwed over.

Well, they aren’t shipped to retailers for free.

I feel like the mission parameters are generally way too unforgiving; I’ve completed maybe 2 or 3 out of 10 attempts. Usually due to an escort or defense mission where the health of the defense point is just comically low. For example in the Archive mission our Sentry got obliterated before he even took three steps

I don’t see why people point that souls-collecting part out as being unfair... it’s more fair than most games. In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate I had to replay the same fucking train mission like 10 times, and each time after 10-15 minutes I would fail to do something in the 5 seconds the game permitted me to do it, and

“nobody made me do it.”

No one is forcing you to experience anything. You don’t have to play it if you don’t want to. You are acting as though the mere fact that it exists is a personal attack against you. That’s your problem.

I tend to roll female characters as well but I don’t really agree with you that there’s “absolutely no reason”. Games can be a powerful tool for putting you in someone else’s perspective. It can be a *good* thing to play as a character that you don’t necessarily identify with. Maybe you’ll change your mind.

If games

Half of the game population, I’m assuming.

If I can tear myself away from Dark Souls 3 it will be for the Battleborn open beta. I’m jazzed about new content for Destiny but there’s so much other stuff going on this week, and I know it will still be there patiently waiting for me.

I gave up on The Division after a week of playing solo. It was just too dry. I

That Winter opening with Ellie... man... just one of the most beautiful, transcendent experiences I’ve had in a videogame, ever.

It’s probably just the way the trailer is cut. Gareth Edwards’ other films were very character-centric and deliberately paced (to the point that some people considered that a criticism). If you watch the trailer for Monsters (one of his other films) it makes it looks like a horror/action film and it’s not even

I love how now just not understanding what #GGers are pissed about, makes you a SJW.

I’m pretty sure something like 98% of the world population is classified as a SJW at this point.

I have a decent powered computer and it didn’t seem to be pushing it too hard, but I’m planning on going for the PS4 version anyway because I’m more a part of that community and I prefer couch-and-controller play over mouse and keyboard.

Yes, remove things. It’s called editing and every great work of art has undergone it. Moby Dick had stuff removed from it. Lord of the Rings had stuff removed from it. The Godfather had stuff edited out. Even the Bible has had stuff removed from it.

Stripping out elements of art that aren’t working in order to refine
