I would absolutely replay this one, especially on better hardware. There's no accounting for taste but I found the gameplay fantastic and I'm still thinking about how I could have approached certain situations differently with a better outcome.

For anyone who hasn't played it yet, it's absolutely worth 60$. I wouldn't

Really? We've got a curmudgeony blacksmith, a condescending holier-than-thou priestess, a sexy talking cat, and Gavlan.

All you need is Gavlan.

Nothing a little real-time ambient occlusion can't fix!

My favorite DmC. And yes I've played all of them.

If you're afraid, that's good! This game punishes the player who charges head-first into battle, but it generously rewards the player who clings to the edges of the play area and feebly creeps forward.

The thing is... what they are doing is working and it is making tons of money. So the market doesn't give them any reason to change their strategy. They just aren't making games that most console/hardcore gamers would ever want to play.

Different companies, different PR? Bethesda understands that their games sell well largely thanks to their modding community and they factor that into how they do business. Blizzard is more microtransaction and e-sports oriented so of course they don't want anyone fiddling around with their games.

I'm all about agile sword fighters. Light armor, high maneuverability, quick attacks, with a more powerful secondary weapon. And I'm really interested in seeing if the dual-wielding swordplay is more viable this time around.

Without having played it, it seems like it did try to copy Dishonored in a lot of ways. Just not the right ways. Even the setting seems less fun... Dishonored put you in a plague rat-infested grimy slum just like this one, except it was full of color and life and intrigue, and you were given fun ways to travel through

Honestly as someone outside the comics' fanbase, I don't even really care about the Marvel branding. It looks like a fun weird sci-fi space romp like Fifth Element or Titan AE and we don't get those very often, so I am starved for a new one.

Actually you don't know. But troll away.

Game developer here. I don't think I like you.

I can't believe these game bloggers, playing their games and then blogging about them. I mean, seriously!

Honestly I think they're fine. I just can't stop thinking of this...

Knowing the release date for Dark Souls 2 is like knowing the date your abusive ex-girlfriend will be back in town.

True, but only if this is the I <3 Huckabees Mark Walberg and not the Planet of the Apes Mark Walberg. I will even settle for The Happening Mark Walberg.

Marky Mark is badass and very funny when he's well-cast (I <3 Huckabees). When he's stuck in the "milquetoast family man" role, it's disappointing.

The 1st one was a totally servicable adventure styled after an 80's teen comedy. No complaints there. The 2nd one was dull and made no sense. The 3rd one was unwatchable with endless close-ups of red-faced people screaming 2 inches from the camera, followed by a series of spleen-pulverizing explosions. I hurt all over

The LOTR universe is great for games... the problem is that Tolkien's mythology is so foundational to all other fantasy right now, that Middle Earth now feels somewhat generic. It's the same reason it's hard to make an Aliens game - every game where you play a marine in power armor killing aliens is basically an
