Waypoint (or Vice Gaming, now) is an excellent gaming site, with some of the smartest writing, and the best weekly podcasting out there on games. I added it to my Kotaku, Polygon, and RPS feed, and now it’s my go-to.

Thank you for posting this. I've been reading AVClub since the 90s, and I really miss the good ol days over there.

I posted at the Avocado for a while and even put some work into writing some articles there, but its just not the same. Plenty of fine people, but its missing the magical alchemy of the professional articles combined with a dedicated commenting community on a site that was still popular and public enough to have

I only started reading Kotaku in recent years, but as a decade+ reader of the AV Club its been painful watching that place slowly come apart over an even longer period, even before the GMG acquisition (of course, now with Spanfeller in charge it feels like that slow motion car crash could speed up at any time). I

Ill be honest and thought we don't need another version in a world where the Katherine Hepburn and Winona Rider versions exist.  But I'll give this credit, this is a very interesting way to write the ending.

Cars prices are largely the same (inflation adjusted) for the last 20 years. College and heathcare, OTOH, have gone through the roof.

Heather, this is my favourite review of yours in a while out of consistently great articles; it’s wonderful and insightful. Tim, I’m only twenty-odd minutes into the hour, but it’s typically playfully elegant and soothing to listen to.

I only fly First or Business. Even with the lie flat and booze it can be hard to sleep on the flights.

I feel like the best way to do this would have been to give the players the ability to choose which version of the content they want in an option menu somewhere or with an additional patch. As it is I’ll probably pass on this one again for the same reasons as last time...

Or fucking Zach Mettenberger, jesus christ on a stick...

As someone originally from Tulsa, I can appreciate him wanting to make more people aware of the massacre. I’m going to assume most of this was shot somewhere that wasn’t Tulsa though, and I’ll have a good laugh at their fictionalized version of it (that’s probably better to look at than the real city).

Skins at Dolphins: Miami could win this game!

I’m sorry, do you know Kap personally? Are you his agent or a close family member or loved one?

Because that word is “cracker”.

No worries. Yeah the murderer’s estranged wife was seeing my other uncle (the victim’s brother). My uncle who was the intended victim was not home at the time. On the same night the guy also shot and killed his wife’s parents, and yes he did get caught and is serving life in prison.

I think the picture shows an MRAP (a lot of those were, controversially, made available to police departments after the Iraq war), and I get the impression that a nearby city has a lighter, more SUV-like armored vehicle called a Gurkha that might also have been involved.

In 1993 when I was 10 years old my uncle and my two little cousins were murdered in a house fire in Hawaii. My aunt managed to escape with her life, but had severe third degree burns all over her body. What followed was an endless series of surgeries while she was dealing with the loss of her entire family.

It kinda adds up really. The only thing he was ever good in were BJJ and MMA(a long time ago).

I understand what you’re saying, and for smaller streamers it can be hell trying to build a community. Viewers can be unforgiving, and even one night off means you could lose a large number of people to another streamer, and they just don’t come back.
